There are a variety of Motels and Hotels in Luton. Obviously Everyone has there individual needs when arriving at a hotel in need of a room. The location, purpose of stay and what facilities you want will all make an impact on your choice. What one person thinks is excellent is only satisfactory for another. Here are some things to take into consideration:

The first question you need to ask yourself is what are you look in for in a hotel? Is just a place to crash for the night before moving on in the morning or is it a 2 week holiday hub which could be used to visit London and the local sights. What facilities do you desire? There are a variety of options for most hotels, some may have wireless internet in the rooms, an on site restaurant, the number of beds going to used, smoking or non smoking, a gym, hot tub, swimming pool, pay per view movies, microwave, fridge and some places even allow you to bring your pet in too. Of course the more you want the higher the price and budget plays a big part. Some 5 star hotel luxury rooms will charge hundreds of pounds a night without breaking a sweat. If you are intending an extended stay then there are hotels that cater for that too and will give you a special rate. The variety is endless and if you want to shop around then you will find a good deal.

The purpose behind your stay will affect the price of your room in a big way. If your here to get a flight in the morning out of London Luton Airport then a comfy bed and a modest bathroom will do just fine. On the other side of the scale if you are on your honeymoon then the stay would be longer and you would also require a lot more services and amenities in you room. Quick note to all the fellas out there, please do not take your wife to Luton for your honeymoon or your marriage will be short lived ;D If you are travelling with kids then make sure that the hotel you choose has a playground or something that will allow the little rug rats to burn off some energy.

Location location!! Again this will all depend on the purpose of your stay. Luton is very fortunate in its position because it is next door to a very busy airport and is only a short journey from the center of London. Please make sure that you do some research on the location of your hotel. The last thing you want is to walk out of the door into gettoville. This especially applys to single travellers and women. If you are seen walking out of a hotel in a bad area then you may aswell have a neon sign above your head saying “Mug Me!”

Whatever you decide when selecting a hotel room make sure you use a bit of common sense and follow the tips in this website and you will get the right room to suit you. It should also be a lot less stressful.
